The ONLY legitimate place to buy FIFA World Cup 2026 tickets is the FIFA Official Portal: https://www.fifa.com/tickets and the FIFA Official Resale Marketplace which opens closer to the tournament. Any other source risks scams, invalid tickets, or being denied entry at the stadium.
Sales Phase Timeline
Phase 1: Visa Presale (COMPLETED)
- When: September 2025
- Who: Visa cardholders only
- What: Early access lottery for 1 million tickets
- Status: Closed
Phase 2: Early Ticket Draw (COMPLETED)
- When: October - November 2025
- Who: General public worldwide
- What: Random lottery for match tickets before draw
- Status: Closed
Phase 3: Random Selection Draw (CURRENT)
- When: December 11, 2025 - January 13, 2026
- Who: Everyone (FIFA ID required)
- What: Apply for SPECIFIC matches now that groups are known
20+ million applications have already been submitted. Entering early doesn’t improve chances. Winners will be notified by email in February 2026 and charged automatically. The exact matches and teams are now known.
Phase 4: First-Come, First-Served (UPCOMING)
- When: Spring 2026 (closer to tournament)
- Who: Anyone with remaining inventory
- What: Purchase remaining tickets directly
Limited availability is expected, so sellouts would likely be quick. Check FIFA portal regularly to see updates.
Phase 5: Last-Minute Sales (UPCOMING)
- When: Days/weeks before matches
- Who: Any returned or released tickets
- What: FIFA official portal only
SEAT CATEGORIES & PRICING GUIDE
IMPORTANT CHANGE: FIFA changed how categories work for 2026. Instead of location on the field (sideline vs. corners), categories are now based on HEIGHT in the stadium:
- Category 1: Lower tier, closest to field (MOST EXPENSIVE)
- Category 2: Mix of upper and lower tiers outside Category 1
- Category 3: Mainly upper tier beyond Categories 1 & 2
- Category 4: Highest/farthest seats, upper tier (CHEAPEST)
Note: Most stadium allocation is in Category 1, meaning you might pay premium prices for seats that would have been Category 2-3 in previous tournaments.

Following Your Team to the Final? Budget $7,600 – $13,750 for tickets alone (Cat 3/4 throughout), plus travel, accommodation, food.
AVOID SCAMS - CRITICAL INFO
About 4,300+ fake FIFA domains registered since Aug 2025. 20M+ people entered the lottery; ~19.7M didn’t get tickets and may look elsewhere. Americans less familiar with the FIFA process than Europeans happen to be prime targets for these scams.

FIFA has committed to comprehensive accessibility for all 16 stadiums across the USA, Canada, and Mexico. Every fan deserves dignity, independence, and full participation in the World Cup experience.
Types of Accessibility Tickets
1. Wheelchair User Tickets
- For users of manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, or mobility scooters
- Space to remain in your wheelchair during match
- Also available for those using assistive devices (walkers, canes, crutches)
- Includes people with invisible disabilities (heart disease, lung disease, etc.)
2. Easy Access Amenity Tickets
- For those who don't use wheelchairs but need more room
- Cannot bend knees or need extra space
- May use walking aids
- Extra legroom for crutches, canes, or service animals
- Seats near accessible amenities (restrooms)
3. Easy Access Standard Tickets
- Minimal step access
- Close to accessible toilets and facilities
- Movable or no armrests
- For those with limited mobility not requiring wheelchair
IMPORTANT: In Canada/USA, Wheelchair User and Easy Access Amenity are combined into one category. In Mexico, they’re separated.
Companion Tickets
Companion Policy:
- Every accessibility ticket buyer can purchase up to 3 companion tickets
- Companions NOT free - must be purchased
- Companions seated as close as possible to ticket holder
- Not guaranteed to be immediately adjacent (especially for wheelchairs in Mexico)
- Companion must be 18+ and able to provide necessary assistance
- Max 4 tickets total per household (including primary + companions)
Multiple Companions:
- If you need 2 companions (mobility + communication support), contact FIFA accessibility services
- Provide medical documentation
- Approved case-by-case
